Yay! It's 2012 and that means that it's finally time for Downton Abbey! Who tuned in last night? I was chomping at the bit all day waiting for it to start. It's definitely my most favorite thing on television. I have an aunt and uncle who live in the UK so they've already seen season 2. When they were visiting last week I said " I absolutely do not want to know what happened in season 2!" LOL.
YES!!
Downton must be taking over the world because I even saw a segment on it during the evening news tonight. *sigh* It's such a feast for the eyes. The story line is also riveting!
Lest you think I have forgotten about sewing, I haven't! I've been farmering again. It feels good to be working on these blocks again after so long. These are blocks 49, 50, 51, 52, and 53. Beginning with the top left and working clockwise are Hovering Birds, Honey's Choice, Honeycomb, Jackknife and Hovering Hawks. I am not sure I will actually make all 111, though that was the plan when I started this QAL. The primary reason being that all 111 make a HUGE quilt. Well 83 inches by 103 inches is pretty big for me. Plus, that would be way bigger than I need for my bed. I am thinking I may go for the Twin Size quilt...73 inches by 92 1/2 inches. It requires 83 blocks so I'm only 30 away from what I need. Yay!
