Swooning

I'm swooning here....only 8 more blocks to go!

I am thankful for all of you who visit this space and the internet that makes this large world of ours seem a little smaller.

I hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving!

Holiday Update

Hi Peeps! Time has escaped me once again but I assure you I'm still here...albeit not on blogger.
I have been quite busy preparing a mini shop update and here are the fruits of my labor....

A strip pieced table topper...
A festive table runner using a Flurry by Kate Spain charm pack. I really love this one!
Plus, 4 holiday mug rugs. Here are two of them!

Just a little holiday merriment. I can hardly believe we'll be eating turkey next week and then trimming a tree oh-so-soon. Eeeep! I still have holiday gifts to make! Where are you in your holiday gift making? Please tell me I'm not the only one who is behind!

Last week I took a quick trip out of town so, sadly, I did not make any FWQAL blocks. But! This week the guilt got to me so I whipped up two of them.

This one is block 48, Homeward Bound. Pretty straightforward to put together.
Here is block 47 Homemaker. I love this one! Not gonna lie though, this one was a little tougher to put together since it involved some curved piecing. Whew! I was a little nervous it wasn't going to come together so nicely.
I can hardly believe I am almost at 50 blocks! This has been a really great QAL so far!
Tomorrow is Friday! Any exciting weekend plans?

Good Things

Hellloooo! I haven't deserted the blog, I swear. Life has been busy and time seems to escape me each and every day. It doesn't help that I have been deep in the throes of researching and writing a paper on crown lengthening for school. Riveting. ;)

A few weeks back I entered a give-a-way on dear Trish's blog. I was tickled pink when Trish contacted me and told me I was the winner of this adorable owl candle holder! Trish is a sweetheart. Do stop by and check out her lovely blog and fantastic quilts. :) Thank you Trish!
I have found some sewing time. A *little*. I fell off the FWQAL bandwagon the last couple weeks and made zero blocks. So, this week I squeezed in 2 of them. I believe the one below is called grape basket? I'm too lazy to pull the book out and check the name. ;) LOL
This one, I haven't the foggiest what the name is. Hill and Valley maybe? Oh gosh, I need to write the names down or keep the book nearby!
I also sewed up this mini quilt about a week ago. Now it sits, waiting for a middle, a backing and binding!
I'll leave you with a couple kitty pictures. Here's Harry guarding my stack of Robert Kauffman Kona solids. ;) Found them at Hobby Lobby! Yay!
Tex. Being the lovey that he is.
Enjoy your weekend! Any exciting and/or creative plans??
