Soothing Stitches

Recently I rediscovered the soothing, meditative qualities of cross stitch. For Christmas I received a lovely quilt book that incorporates some cross stitch projects as well. Immediately I knew I wanted to make one of the projects which is an agenda cover. I got to work and last week I finished it! Now I want to start another cross stitch project despite having a "project" list going that's filled with sewing projects. I think, however, that with cross stitch I am being reminded to throw out the lists, slow down and just enjoy the process.

Awe, beautiful, Laura! I wonder is cross stitching would be ok for me to start doing something with my hands ... I'm so not skilfull; can't even sew hems :(.

So how has your week been? I'm still a little lost here, but I'm keeping myself busy with silly stuff :/. Right now I'm making curry chicken for dinner. Thanks for your nice words! :D

Hi Miki! You can totally learn to cross stitch! It's great for working on something while sitting on the couch in front of TV or a movie. I'm sure the local library has tons of craft/embroidery books to show you how. :)
Or there's always the internet. ;)

Glad you're settling in. :)
